I could get Lagunitas hops that were fresher than 100 days I might consider them more often.

I consider their beer to be craft because they were craft when they were independent. Ownership doesn't define whether their beer is craft. It defines whether they're independent.

2015: "Lagunitas releasing a great BA stout for $9 a bomber? what a deal."
2016-2017: "6-packs of the very same beer?! This is the best deal in beer history."
2018: "Back to $9 bombers. Wow, suck it, Lagunitas. You Suck. Bad deal. I can buy so many better BA stouts for the same price."

When so-so 4-packs of IPAs sell for $16+, Super Cluster and Born Yesterday are indeed a bit of a godsend. Sad to hear HW won't be in 6-packs this year.

Mozango, yeah I got it for my wife. She shared with me and we both enjoyed it. She bought another too. I don't think I did a review or anything, but it's worth a try for their prices.

They are undoubtably one of the best deals on beer, always. It's their thing I suppose. I might have to stop by the ol sanctuary again soon.

Lagunitas has a funky yeast profile in my opinion. It is an example of a company that sold out and sells shitty headache beer

Lag's makes a number of very good beers. Sorry you don't like their products. More for the rest of us !!

I don't really care for their beers because I think a lot of them are too sweet, but I like that they put a hoppy spin on all of their beers. I like their Pils, Sucks, and Hop Stoopid.

I knew this thread would be full of hand wringing over Julian dating and it didn't disappoint.

Outside of this slice of the internet, no one cares. *tap tap* Is this thing on? *tap tap* No one else cares.

You can still get the date, be grateful they put the date at all. It's not changing, they aren't losing any significant amount of sales on that to justify a major change so build a bridge and get over it.

A lot of angst, all unrelated, in one post.

I was not happy that Lag "sold out" and drink less than before for that reason alone but do not feel that there has been any change in quality at all (something not complained about, in general). The yeast may not be your thing but their beer made a lot of BAs on this site for many, many years. (Boo on the shitty headache beer comment)

My only beef with Lag is that Sucks never came back in the glory it arrived in with that little Santa on the bottle a bunch of years back. That stuff was West Coast magic in its day.

The Brewers Association defines craft brewer and not what is considered a craft beer. Good luck on the latter.

Get butt hurt or whatever, but Lagunitas brews fantastic beer.

And yes, I never really thought much of Tony Magee. If not for the sellout, I would think more of Lag in his absence.

My little experience with Lagunitas has been entirely positive. Really enjoyed their lucky 13 red ale, though I'm still looking for brown shugga and gnarlywine.

Grateful is the word people who provide the goods and services I part with my money for should use to me, not the other way around. I work in customer service, I know how this realtionship works. The shelves in Pennsylvania are crowded, I have plenty of options. I don't need any one particular brewery. I won't spend any time considering purchases from breweries that don't provide simple to read freshness information. I don't have to.
