Going All-Grain

    They are and my Lake Michigan sourced tap water contains bacteria, lead and arsenic measured at the source. What happens to the water when it gets pumped 10 miles through 80 year old pipes? It isn't improving, that's for sure.

    Don't feel so bad...a few years back Perrier was tested and was found to contain benzene...at least yours is cheaper : )

    I'm not complaining. My filtered tap water tastes very good. Unfiltered tap water tastes like swimming pool water with a metallic finish. And water is the only thing that's cheap living in Chicago other than the free smells.

    I find the arsenic in my well water to add a little character to it's otherwise bland softness. : ) (just kidding, don't try this at home, kids)

    It is OK if you have the fairly low SO4 and moderate alkalinity of K'zoo water. Otherwise you should figure out what to do with your source water. :slight_smile:
