How long will you be there? You had better think like the Malt King while in Germany, there are not a lot of hop-centric beers available.
I'm no Berlin expert but the hoppiest (and favorite) beer we had in Berlin this past spring were bottles of Weissenoher Klosterbräu. Only available (I think) at Witty's (Wittenbergplatz 5); a wurst stand across from KaDaWe dept store. Hoppy and spicy w/ a nice malt backbone. Had several memorable beers while in Berlin. Weissenoher Klosterbräu was our favorite by far.
This is a couple years old but we found it useful: http://www.theguardian.com/travel/2011/nov/03/top-10-cocktail-bars-berlin Liked a spot in Kruezberg called Luzia too.

You are in luck! All the beer in Berlin has hops in it. I found this very useful, one of the better beer guide books I have used. http://www.booksaboutbeer.com/products/around-berlin-in-80-beers
Don't I know! Was a tough choice, but able to do the much smaller Hannover Oktoberfest fest for opening night. Then was between Berlin or Munich. Wife didn't want me going to Munich alone plus Berlin is closer and really appeals to me. I'll be back many times I suspect, will get to Munich sometime in Sept.
Two very different cities, I like them both but would also choose Berlin. It's a great city to visit.
