Hey Midwest! I am visiting the wife's family in Branson, MO this Christmas and was wondering if I would have any luck finding a bottle shop in the area? I have been there once before but don't remember much of a 'craft scene', but something about Dolly P and Precious Moments still sticks in my head. Thanks!
Hit Brown Derby in Springfield & get the best selection for 100 miles. There's an Irish Bar & Old Chicago at the landing. Avoid the all-u-can-eat Lobster Joint, horrid... If you do roll the dice, check for freshness dates on any beer you do buy in Branson, I got burned at a gas station. My fault for not checking...
Excellent. Thanks for your help! I figured the beer in Branson will be well expired, for the most part. I will for sure be at The landing.
I have decided Branson is beer hell. Making the drive to Kansas City and hopefully tour Boulevard. Thanks again for your help!
Yeah. They have a few different tours. I think ill ony be able to do the free one. Would love to so the Unfiltered tour!
Last time I tried to do the Boulevard tour they were booked 2 months out. Brewery tours are generally lame anyway
Looks like they do a free tour that I may do. Just need some good beer after nothing for over 2 weeks! Thanks for the recommendations! Looking forward to visiting Kansas City.
Because it hasn't been mentioned, I'll throw Flying Saucer in the ring. You're from TX, so I'm sure you've been to a Flying Saucer. The KC saucer has one of the best tap lists in town.
Usually won't hit up a Saucer unless I need too...and this will probably be one of those times! If the list is good! I did find a 4 pack of Dark Truth stout that was about a year in a half old at a Wal-Mart here. It was cellared for me
