I'll be there on business but if I have spare time I'd like to hit some good spots. I'll be staying pretty close to Heathrow and I already plan to make a stop at Fuller's, time permitting. What are some other places I wouldn't want to miss?

Also, where can I find some really good English perry?

Not a lot 'near' Heathrow of note. If you cast the net 5 or 6 miles you'll hit a few decent venues, otherwise head to Central London it's 15/20 minutes on the HEX (Heathrow Express).

Can't say I'm opposed to heading into the city.

The Cider Tap, a walk across the road from the Euston Tap, one of the best beer bars in London.(Cider Tap information is on that site because, as you may have guessed, both bars are run by the same people.)

Get a pie and a few pints of Harvey's at the Royal Oak in Southwark off the Borough underground station. Then go to Borough Market and drink the bar at the Market Porter.

Craft Beer Co. (Clerkenwell or Brixton), Cask Pub & Kitchen, Euston Tap, Cider Tap, and BrewDog Camden are the must-visit beer bars IMHO. If you like something more in the traditional pub vein but with great beer selection I recommend The Old Fountain near Old Street. And if you don't mind heading out to the suburbs (in the completely opposite direction from where you're staying), the William IV (home of Brodie's Brewery) is a must. And if you are here on a Saturday it's essential to visit the Kernel Brewery, which is open to the public and sell their beers (best in London, possibly the UK) on Saturdays only.

Much as I love 'Craft' beer bars I think it better to advise visitors to London to explore what we do best... Real Ale

Craft Beer Co. has nearly 20 beers on cask. 'Craft' beer isn't just keg stuff, thankfully most of the new places in London see it that way.
