I am going to Norwitch this weekend and trying to find some places near there that sell microbrews. Any suggestions?
Jasper Murdock's Alehouse at the Norwich Inn (BA Link) is a good spot right in town. Also check out Norwich Wines & Spirits for a bottle shop also right in town. Not a huge selection but some very quality beers there and doesnt get shopped much for beer. It can be a little pricey sometimes but the beer guy knows his stuff if he's there and you can find some gems sometimes. If you make it into West Lebanon, NH which is not too far from there there is Seven Barrel Brewery which is an ok brewpub (BA Link). May not be anything to write home about but it's something different. Ziggys pizza further down the strip in the Staples plaza also in West Lebanon has probably the most taps in the area. Some decent stuff there and Lui Lui's, an Italian restaurant in the Powerhouse Mall plaza has a decent number of taps, probably about 10, but maybe better quality beers than Ziggys. Also in West Lebanon, at the bottom of the airport hill road is Beverage King which has one of the best selections in the Upper Valley. The White River Junction Co-op has a good selection (VT distro as opposed to NH) and also has a growler station. I'm probably forgetting something so if you have any other questions let me know.
You must be excited, first post in six years of membership on BA. I would be excited to go to Norwich myself.
