hitting the Bruery and hopefully Bootleggers what are teh best bottle shops in your opions? ill only be there a day and want to get the most out of my day
Hollingsheads Deli in Orange, Whole Foods in Newport and in Tustin, Hilltop Liquor in Huntington Beach, Tustin Liquor in Tustin, Hi Times in Costa Mesa, Mr. K's in Placentia though is closest to Bootlegger's and The Bruery.
Hacienda Beverages in Brea. Town & Country Liquors in Fullerton. There's also a BevMo & Total Wine in Brea near the 57 fwy.
Make sure you call ahead to Hollingshead's first the day you go and ask if you are looking for rarities. Get to Whole Foods early. Best selection in the morning... Hope that helps.
Walnut Liqorette is another option. Not too far a drive from the Bruery, but is about 20 minutes away.
thanks guys.....only got to hit up hollingheads because of time, but im in corona now and they have El Cerrito if you havent gone its worth the drive. The best bottle shop ive ever gone to
I love Mr. K's. Call the guy early and you can score pretty much any bottle you want and they price match anyone. I just got enjoy by IPA last night. If anyone visits the bruery just swing by this place they actually have Bruery beer roughly about $2 to $3 cheaper compare to the actual bruery. (walking distance).
Does bootleggers actually make quaffable brew now? The first (and last) beer I had by them was a year or so ago. It was their hefeweisen and was an embarassing diacetyl-flavored mess.
They make some good stuff for sure - Knuckle Sandwich, Black Phoenix, Imperial Black Phoenix, etc. However, I agree that some of their beers aren't so great.
