Figured I'd give the Pacific forum a shot of Aloha, with some Hawai'i news. A couple weeks ago, Maui Brewing released their POG IPA (cans) and Imperial Coconut Porter (bombers). For those of you who have been to MBC, you know the Imperial Coconut is favorite and one that a lot of folks have wanted to see bottled or canned. Stoked to see this finally happen! This week, Lanikai Brewing released their Forever Summer POG Berliner Weisse and Mahina BA Barleywine. Mahina is the first BA beer to be bottled from Hawai'i, so it's a major step forward for local breweries. The Mahina was aged in whiskey barrels or a year and sits at 12%. Okole maluna y'all!
Appreciate the info. My father really enjoyed the imperial coconut porter during the stone 20th pre-festival festival (the one that happens the night before whose name I forgot). However I don't appreciate that awesome view. There is like green and other colors there. Just...daaaaaaaaaamn.
Supposedly MBC has their Black Pearl coming out sometime. Black Pearl is their Imperial Coconut Porter aged in local high proof rum barrels. Probably my favorite beer out of Hawai'i. It was supposed to come out in November, but no luck.
