I'm going to be in Golden this week and hoping to stumble upon some Pliny the Elder (moved to Indiana and don't have access to it). Anyone have some good advice for bars I should check out that would be my best bet? Thanks.
Falling Rock in downtown Denver usually has it, as well as a bunch of other great brews. Goed Zuur downtown also had it recently, and they have an awesome sour selection. Not sure about finding Pliny in Golden itself. But, if you're looking for local beer while you're out there check out Cannonball Creek and New Terrain. Both great places to hang out with really solid beer. Cheers!
Don't know if you'll have a car but 20 minutes away in Boulder it's usually on tap at Backcountry Pizza
Was in B&B last night and they did not have Pliny. Taps change pretty regularly and they update taphunter if you want to see what’s on, but honestly, I don’t ever recall seeing Pliny there. Cannonballs IPA’s are fantastic, but if Pliny is the goal, you will have to most likely hit Denver or Boulder as previously mentioned. Miners Saloon also has some decent beer on tap and the food is good.
Depending on which way you go to Golden, the Crafty Fox could be on the way. They seem to always have Blind Pig and they might have Pliny, too. It's also the kind of place where you could pit Pliny against stuff from Melvin, Comrade, Weldwerks, etc.
There could also be RR drop this week. I haven't kept track, but you could find it on the shelves around town.
