Same price. Typically the taproom prices are $6 for the pales, IPAs and the lager and $8 for dipas. Assassin and Naughty Temple were $25, not sure of the price on kbbs.

No problem, wish I had some to send your way but down to my last bottle at the moment. Good luck in getting some, best beers around in my opinion!

Do you know what other bottles they had there yesterday? I really wish they post this info somewhere. Thanks.

Ya know I was in such a hurry (7 hour round trip from Des Moines with a meeting at 5PM) that I didn't really look. I got my KBBS, 2 Sue and 2 GNug and left. Only other they may have had is Naughty 90 but I didn't see it, nor did I look hard. Sue was $6. KBBS $15

Thank you. Is there usually a limit on Sue, Sosus, or other similar bombers (beside KingSue of course)?

I BELIEVE it's usually a 2 case limit for Sue and Nugget. This was actually my first time at the taproom. Sosus gets handled differently each time it's released it sounds like. Previous has been 1 or maybe 2 cases. The last run with King Sue you could purchase 4 NT, 4 Sosus, and 4 KS to make up a case

Worth noting that TG bottles that see distribution (e.g. GN, Sosus, Sue) always cost more in stores than they do in the TG taproom. Pseudosue bottles may be $6 at the brewery in Decorah, but every place else they're $8-9.

This is true. Sue is usually $7.99 at Hy Vee. I saw a post yesterday on twitter that had a store (not sure where) selling GNug for $9.99 Ouch!

I picked up Sue & Golden Nugget locally (Des Moines) yesterday for $6.99 and $8.49 each. There is certainly markup by retailers, but it isn't too horrible.

    Minor quibble...This year's Assassin was $30, not $25.

It was $25 at the taproom.
    $30+ at the retail stores.

    Not a typo.
    Not worth $25 either, IMO.
Glad I got to try it, and glad I didn't buy it - at that price.

FYI: Not your regular IPA, as classified on it's rating page.
Tastes more like an Old Ale/Stout to me.

damn, thanks Jim, for the clarification

but here's where I admit I'm a dope, as I mistook this for Naughty 90 and that's why my eyes popped out. I'll go to the corner and feel shame now :flushed:

I didn't think they sold Assassin from the taproom this year. If they did I'm pretty sure they sold damned little. According to Clark it all went to distro. Given that, $30 is the realistic price.
