Don't pay to much attention to the whole AB thing. Judging on beer alone prolly no....

That's a super low taco count. Might have to send a mule to hold my place in line.

Not going. Got a road trip to Kernville. But I will check out the new digs sooner than later. Dont care much for their beers. They got one or 2 okay ipa's. They were really bad the 1st year. Kinda like Noble. But they are still not in the same league as Noble today. Will they have food at the new Anaheim location?

The best thing about the LA spot is the space. This opening is for the tasting room only. Beer garden etc. not opening until next year. No thanks.

I must admit, I am curious what Victor Novak will produce at this facility ... but the whole AB-Inbev thing really rubs me the wrong way. :slight_frown:

I know it's nowhere near as good as Noble Ales, but I'm mostly excited of a new option to hit up. I mean, mediocre yes, but it could be worse.
So I take it you "AB-Inbev" haters will not be getting any bourbon county huh? More for me!

Nope, got to stick to my principles. You can have all the Bourbon County (and Golden Road) you want to shell out the $$$ for.

Yeah I share the same feeling but I'm going to eventually try the place out. I highly doubt any if Victors one off's will be on tap for the opening.

they would have to drag my cold dead body there, prop it up, and have Meg Gill pour Get Up Offa That Brown down my throat. in that circumstance, i would go visit Golden Road Ahaheim

    Couple of random thoughts/questions....

What has Victor's contribution been to Golden Road in the year + he's been with them?

How insulting is a FREE TACO GIVEAWAY?

Oh yay. More average beer. Free tacos would convince me to go maybe a mile or so, but not from LA to OC.

Saying that it is an extra option for the OC crowd is almost an insult considering there are already some amazing options.

Well, my personal principal is that it is dumb to spend that much money or go through that much work for a beer. I will drink it on tap for the right price, but not searching it out. Have always felt awful when I have bought a beer and realized it wasn't worth the price.

I like tacos...... and turtles. GR still doesn't make a solid beer for me. Free tacos, free turtles, nuttin gonna do it. Not bad but I won't seek them out. Can't seem to get the taste of that GR IPA outta my mouth. Actually the kook I'm drinking will!
Speaking of GR, where's Tony these days?

Sorry, got v16. Then if I make it back to oc for beer (going to alpine and modern times) I will be chasing FW to wherever they are. Bad weekend for them to open.

Heal The Bay was watered down last batch. Also seeing as this thread is about the Anaheim location, I'll say any hoppy ale GRB makes is blown away to smithereans by Noble. So regardless of who owns what, GRB is a distant second choice in that town, and with AB-InaBev, there should be no other choice but Noble. I'm not in the BCBS club, I did enjoy it years ago.

Its gonna take a lot more than free tacos to get me there!

Whats the ETA on anything "special" Novak is gonna brew out of there, at least a year?
