I also like the ante and winners pick. Kind of fun that way.

Question on selecting winner. Is overall prize money and overall score the same thing? I don't think so. For instance, picking the winner is a hugh pay out, and enough to win this thing even without the other pick even making the cut. This year the winner had $1.8m, second and third together got $1.75.

I prefer, or offer up, 2 other options. First, total score for the 2 players, or total standings. There are nuances to score verse placment. 4 players tied for second could either have all have a -6 score, or a 2 standing. But the difference is those that are right behind, where maybe they are -5 score (only 1 away from those ahead) or would be in 6th place (4 off the pace). I actually like using standings rather than score, but not too picky.

The British should be good...and the course plays well to Spieth too. If he happens to win the British, the PGA championship will be that much better

 

I like this....add up their combined score and come up with a number for those that miss the cut. I don't think it would be fair for some who misses the cut getting a better score than those that tank in rds 3 and 4 while they got to play 2 more rounds

 

I agree with Dave_Treat, to use either score or rank, seems a bit more fair than overall payout. Anyone want to run this with bourbon as the entry instead of beer? Is that allowed?

Either way I am in for round 3.
