Me and three of my friends are doing a Golf & Brewery Tour in July. We're heading from NYC towards Boston, then north to New Hampshire and a little bit in Maine. Then over to Vermont and back down. Leaving Thursday and coming back Sunday. Trying to fit as much in as we can. Would prefer breweries that sell pints and regular drafts rather than samples. What suggestions do we have?

    So far
    Tree House
    Trillium
Hill Farmstead(if we can make it there)

You gotta hit up NEBCO, no pints but it's on the way to Treehouse! And I would suggest playing a round at Wintonbury Hills in Bloomfield, it's in between the two breweries and happens to be the only Pete Dye course in New England.

No pints at Tree House or Trillium. Night Shift in Boston does as well as Harpoon and CBC. NH Smutty/Portsmith and Tributary in Kittery ME. Not sure if you are heading to as for north as Portland. But on the easy Barreled Souls and Banded Horn I believe do pints then a ton in Portland do.

HF doesn't do pints either. Four 4oz tasters for $5.

What courses you playing? From the pints standpoint you are probably looking to go to bars and not breweries (a surprisingly over looked option). For example I don't see why so many want to drove up to HF (unless you just want to or something unique is going on)- when you can save time and gas and just drink it in the local bars.

My first post, since golf and beer are two of my favorite things!

If the order of your trip changes for some reason, you might consider Beer'd in Stonington CT (great little brewery that sells pints) on your way back from Boston to NYC. You can play golf at Shennecossett in Groton (great affordable public Donald Ross course) or Foxwoods (very expensive Rees Jones course). Beer'd is open Friday evenings, Saturday, and Sunday and their IPAs and IIPAs are excellent.

Jack's Abby also sells pints out of their brewery in Framingham, near Boston. Not a lot of great public golf in the greater Boston area, but there is Granite Links a little south of the city.

I've been to NEBCO. I think i'll swing by there and hope they have Ghandi-Bot. Thanks for advice on the course. Laying down the plan for beer spots first.

I've been to Portsmouth and thats an option as well. Is Night Shift right downtown? We were planning on hitting Red Sox/Yanks series while in Boston so thats why i saw Trilium.

Well very good point. I'm fine with good bars where I can drink a lot of the local beers. If i can get HF beers at good bars and any recommendations for bottle shops also.

No decision on courses yet. Any suggestions?

Samples are free at Stoneface Brewing if you are heading by the NH seacoast. Free, can't beat that.

Crump and Fox, Bernardston, Mass is awesome, Mount Snow region has 4 or 5 excellent courses within 45 minutes and inexpensive lodging. As far as bars and beer stores in think you have to nail your plans a bit more solid.

If you are in the Boston area don't overlook the city's two muni courses. I prefer George Wright, but both are nice. Tough to beat playing a Donald Ross designed course for ~ $40 for 18. http://cityofbostongolf.com/

Will vouch for Jacks Abby and NightShift. NightShift is in Everett just north of Boston off 93. Excellent new brewery with food trucks and entertainment some nights. Also have lots of offerings you won't find bottled. Trillium is in fort point channel in Boston tiny place great beer but no pints and tough to park there. Might consider hitting them up for bottles or growlers. Also only open R, F from noon to eight I believe. StoneFace is getting a lot of hype haven't hit them yet but they're on the list. While I love Treehouse be prepared to queue up for a bit and not sure what inventory will be available until day of.

Wormtown Brewery in Worcester does full pints and has a patio. With 10 beers on draft, you can do pints or flights. You can bring food in to eat if you want too. In the area for golf courses, there is Green Hill Country Club. Not the most beautiful course out there, but its a solid course. Watchusett Country Club is really nice about 15 / 20 minutes away from there. That course is awesome. Really nicely kept and challanging.

So leaving tomorrow morning and golfing near Peekskill. Then to the Peekskill brewery for late lunch. Then to Deciccos to see what beers are on shelves. Then to Tree House and then on to Worcester and hitting the Abbey. Friday morning golfing outside of Worcester and then to Jacks Abbey and into Boston for Trillium and Red Sox. Saturday up to Portsmouth and StoneFace and on way to Burlington stopping at prohibition pig and a couple others. Any other suggestions? On food works also? And I'll also have with me 2 -4 packs of Other Half All Green Everything canned 6/25 if anyone is interested in a trade. Not interested in Heady though, interested in BA stouts, sours, iPas

So how did the trip go? Not going to lie, I love beer and golf and your trip sounds amazing and just reading through the posts I was excited for a happy ending. It was like the only interesting reality tv show but we have no conclusion. Heading to Deccico's in Brewster tomorrow, love that place.

In the "West of Boston" category you could somehow finagle the trip to Tree House then golf at Shining Rock in Northborough. From their you could hit Julio's in Westborough to old up your cooler. Go to Worcester for pints at Wormtown and Hill Farmstead on tap at Armsby Abbey and then head back towards Boston with a pit stop at Jacks Abby in Framingham.

The above assumes you do not sleep .... ever. Haha
