I'm going down to austin in march but departing from dallas when I leave. So some friends and I are just going to get a hotel room around dallas. What are some good bars for great beers around the Dallas area? Thanks a lot for the help. Cheers!

My favorites: Goodfriend in East Dallas - best atmosphere, great beer, super friendly people. Ask for Mike at the bar. Common Table in Uptown - eclectic beer with frequent surprises, lots of events, good location for going out. Strangeways near Knox/Henderson - most eclectic (surprising) selection in Dallas, near Henderson Ave for more fun Meddlesome Moth in Oaklawn - best looking beer bar, lots of good beer, ask for Justin at the bar I'd consider staying near Uptown or Downtown as you'll be much closer to the fun of Dallas, plus you'll be closer to Austin when you depart.
