Going to the Islanders game Tuesday night and I'm looking for somewhere with a good taplist and solid food to stop at before the game. Most of the Brooklyn spots I'm familiar with are closer to the Williamsburg area, so I'd appreciate some suggestions. Cheers!

St. Gambrinus is pretty darn close.

St. Gambrinus, Uncle Barry's, and 4th Avenue Pub have suitable tap lists, but none have food afaik.

Pacific Standard has a West Coast-centric tap list and food, but I've never been.

Your best bet would be to go a little further south and hit up Threes Brewing. Not sure how early you were looking to go (they don't open until 5), but their tap list is always good (multiple of their own and OH, plus other locals) and their rotating kitchen residencies are generally on point.

St Gambrinus has some food now. Little sandwiches typically but theyre pretty good. But Threes is best bet for good beer and good food. Or you could always hit Threes or Mission Dolores and then Dinosaur BBQ for food

brioklyn larder has good sanwiches and good but pricey packaged beer. I less enarmored of the food at threes than most. all the good bars nearby have been mentioned.

How's parking in the area? Much different than the rest of Bklyn?

Hops Hill, and Gold Star Beer Counter would be where i would go but both about a 15 minute walk. St. Gambrinus is by far the closest if close proximity is priority.

A backup option for me to St Gambrinus is Uncle Barry's
Right next door is Alchemy which is a decent quick dinner spot.

Yeah for food and beer go to Threes.

Granted the shortest Shake Shack line in the city is usually the one across from Barclays.
