Good beer in Amsterdam Schiphol?

    I may have a long stopover coming up in AMS (but too short to leave the airport, sadly.)

    What are the airside craft options like there these days?

    I'd be interested in both what I can drink there and take onto my onward bound flight.

    It depends which terminal you're in at Schiphol. Most of the bars sell Duvel. Some have the excellent Gunness Special Export. And stuff like Westmalle or Affligem is pretty common. But all bottled. I can't remember ever seeing a decent draught beer.

    It's only a 13-18 minute ride from the airport to Amsterdam central. If your long stopover is long enough you could visit In de Wildeman. How long is it?

    You can find 't IJ bottles at Schipol. Not sure if you can take them to go, though.

    The Gall & Gall landside has a few interesting Dutch beers.
