I'm taking a trip to Philly tomorrow and I'd like to stop at a few good beer shops. I'm going to Capone's just to check it out finally but I was looking for a few others...if there are any close to center city that would be awesome. I'm mainly looking for Russian River sours and maybe some Cascade, but mainly things that aren't available in NJ (where I live). Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated, thanks!

Check Phillytapfinder.com for Russian River beers if you're looking specifically for them. As for stuff not available in NJ, check out newfound glut of local breweries. Free Will, Neshaminy Creek, Round Guys, and Tired Hands are all KILLING IT. They've been sending some kegs around, though you'll probably find more success in the burbs if that's what you're looking for.

But to be perfectly honest, if you're stopping at Capone's, you don't need to stop anywhere else. They have everything you could ever want and more, and their prices aren't too bad.

Craft Beer Outlet in NEPhilly has Cascade Sang Noir and has Russian River sours as well as three NCBC beers on tap.

you could make it from Capone's to Tired Hands in 30-40 minutes depending on the time of day.

I fell in love with Tired Hands pretty much immediately so I'll say go there if you can manage it.

Also Beer Heaven in town had a tremendous selection right now..but the prices are quite high. Still they had 2 Cascade Sours when I was there last week, some RR, CW BB beers (BBBW and Peruvian Morning) and lots more.
