Good beer stores in Anoka County, MN

I grew up in that area, what city?

 

Rum River Liquors in Ramsey doesn't sell singles - but they have a shit ton of a selection, competitive pricing and the staff is awesome.

Northgate Liqours in Andover does a cooler of singles - a wide selection of others (not as big as Rum River) and also have a friendly staff.
They also have a sister store in Blaine that is very similar - and friendly.
Both of the Northgate's have competitive pricing as well.

 

**edit - I have to warn that the Northgates don't have a very extensive selection of singles.

I really don't know of any other good stores north of the Mississippi River.

 

Try Northgate Liquor....off of 242 and Central I think...I cut across that way from Hugo to Highway 10 sometimes and have stopped there a couple times and it is solid...

Edit looks like Main street (125th ave NE) is what 242 is officially called in that spot...pretty sure that is it...

Edit...see it has already been suggested...probably your best bet

 

Yes - it's on the NE side of Main St & Hwy 65 (Central Ave).

Also,

I forgot about Rapids Liquors in **** Rapids.
They have a wide variety of singles at different price points (better variety of singles than the Northgates).
This is off of Hwy 10 & Foley (in a strip mall next to the theater)

Edit: Rapids is fairly competitive

 

Was at Rum River last night and noticed that they started a singles section.
It's not very big, but has some quality beers.

And like I said earlier, they have a ton of selection of bombers and packaged beer.

 

Some of the tips for what available north of Spring Lake Park are about as good as you're going to get in that direction. However you're not far from Mpls if you shoot south up Central Ave into downtown. I'd suggest Town Hall and Zipps if you have the time to get away.
