I'll say Samuel Adams cream stout. I was scared of dark beer until I had it.

Op, if you're intimidated by stouts, steer clear of the imperial variety for now. Get your toes wet, left hand milk stout and milk stout nitro, sam adams cream stout are all good options, and I will throw in steel toe stout from ska brewing. It's like a chocolate milkshake for beer lovers. Its one of the most under rated brews I have had.

Dominion Oak Barrel Stout is easy to drink with a hint of vanilla and sweetness. Samuel Smith's Oatmeal is easy drinking, as is Duck Rabbit Milk Stout. founders breakfast stout is overrated in my opinion but not harsh if you like coffee.

Stout = Delicious. Founders Breakfast, Guinness Extra, Ten Fidy, Mean Old Tom by Maine Beer Co.. Porter = Sucky = Sweet = Nasty. Stop claiming it's a good intro, Porters are close in color but little else.

Which porters did you have to make you feel this way? Just curious.

3 floyds Moloko (milk Stout), Left hand Milk stout in a bottle or the nitro on tap (For what ever reason the regular milk stout is the only beer i prefer in the bottle vs draft), great divide stouts, or southern tier chocolate stout.

I'm not a huge Sam Adams fan, but their cream stout is pretty good.
