Will be heading down to Cincinnati next week and wanted to know of some good craft beer bottle shops that I can shop at. Thanks.
Hit Jungle Jim's - it is a massive supermarket, and takes delivery on basically anything available in distribution in Ohio. Growler area is decent, and has things you don't see everywhere. If you have a vehicle, don't ignore Northern Kentucky. A couple stores out there have a good selection, and the distribution list differs from that in Ohio, so some items are only available there.
Dutch's in Hyde Park. Further, if you search the forum there are a number of threads covering this...
Thank you for replying, I'll have to hunt into the forum threads little bit more for additional recommendations, just wanted to mainly find out latest and greatest suggestions, appreciate it.
Cappys wine and spirits is a bit north of town but has a killer selection and second to none customer service. Hyde park wine and spirits is cool cause you can pull singles from any of their 4/6 packs
The largest beverage alcohol store in the United States is just across the river from downtown Cincy in Bellevue, Kentucky. It is called The Party Source, and it's an adult Disney World! HUGE bottle shop, great wines, awesome liquors including the best bourbons in the world, a cigar aficionados paradise, and they even have their own brewery, Ei8ht Ball, on site with a taproom to boot! The taproom features only roughly 6 of their own beers, but the other 36 taps are filled with world-class brews, as well as the best Cincy has to offer. Plan out a chunk of time to see all this place has to offer, or you'll be kicking yourself. I live here, and I can't keep myself away more than a few days at a time. It's really easy to get to too. Head into Kentucky on I-471, and take the 1st exit. Take a right, and it's 1/4 mile on the right- you won't miss it, it's massive. (Can you tell I love this place?) https://www.thepartysource.com/index.php
Again appreciate all the responses from BA members, looks like I have couple places to visit while there this coming weekend.
I agree with The Party Source. It's a regular stop for me. Largest alcoholic beverage store in the US and also 100% employee owned. The people in the beer department are just nice people as well. Every visit I make usually ends up 5-10 minutes longer because of BS'ing with them. If you can get it in Northern KY, they will have it.
Also Brentwood Spirits has a great selection and usually has a few rarities on deck. My man Frank up there is a beer genius
The Party Source is great. It's one of my favorite stores for bourbon. I also love that they post their inventory on line. It's definitely worth checking out for beer because of the prices. I still think OH is better because there is a ton of stuff available in OH that's not sold in KY. Plus, I noticed several beers that are available in cans that The Party Source only carried in bottles.
Brentwood is around the corner for me. I hate telling people about Brentwood. They always have something excellent available. If you cannot find a beer you will like at Brentwood you don't like beer.
All of your suggestions are extremely appreciated... hoping to carve out enough time to stop at a few of the mentioned places...
I know you just asked about bottle shops OP, but try to make some time for some local breweries too: Fifty West, Madtree and Listermann are killing it. IIRC, Fifty West has penny flip pint nights on Tuesday where you can get pints for a penny if you're lucky. Like a few others have said, Party Source has its own brewery in the back, Ei8ht Ball. Check them out as well. Tons of good beer in the Cincy area. I love that town!
I second the Fifty West. Blake's a cool guy and an awesome brewer. They've come out with some great things.
