Good bottle shops in Pittsburgh

    I'm heading to Pitt this weekend and I'd like to score a few bottles that I can't find in NJ. I'm just wondering what bottle shops you may recommend in Pitt. I would really appreciate any recommendations. Thanks!

    Where are you staying? The best balance of price and selection will be either Giant Eagle Settler's Ridge (Robinson Township) or Giant Eagle Shadyside in the city. For pure selection, House of 1000 Beers in New Kensington probably has the best selection but make sure you have a major credit card and lube. They get a lot of out of distro beers but make you pay for them. Even their in distro beers are out of line with other spots such as Giant Eagle.

    Atlas Bottle shop is a really nice place in the East Liberty area and if you are looking for a straight distributor Mellinger's is really nice and has a great staff.

    I'm taking a trip to visit a buddy in WV next week. Planning on stopping at 3 or 4 places on my way through Pittsburgh (east to west). Planning on House of 1000 Bottles, Atlas Bottle Works, Giant Eagle in Shadyside and maybe somewhere else. Any other MUST stop places for bottles or 6 packs? Thanks!
