I plan to be in the Johns Creek/Alpharetta/Duluth area next month (August.) Would appreciate recommendations for a family-friendly brewpub or restaurant. My son, his wife and toddlers will be along as well as my wife, so we need a place with good food (pizza is always appropriate), good atmosphere, and a good tap selection for me. A patio area is always a plus in good weather. (We went to the Mellow Mushroom in Duluth early summer and weren't impressed. That chain seems to be hit & miss. Some of them are great with a good tap list, others...meh.) Suggestions?
Definitely go to Good Word. Old 4th Ward pizza has fantastic pizza, but they don't have much of a tap list. I don't think either has a patio, but there isn't good weather in August anyway.
