I normally don't trade for growlers but I have a tasting coming up in late July with 6 people. I have a bunch of 750's and bombers set aside but I would like at least a few beers to be more then 3-4 oz's. I'd like to hear everyone's input of what local breweries/brewpubs in their area do growler fills. Recommendations of places with above average beers but may not require too much to trade for will be a plus. I'm aware of HF and Town Hall but not sure I want to give up half my cellar for those. All styles welcome and any beer you can recommend that is very good and consistently available would be great. Thanks in advance! Edit: I'm not trying to be lazy but there may be a lot of under the radar places and I haven't been able to find much info about this on my own.
Prost out of Denver. Growlers are actually sold in our local liquor stores and if you like Hefeweizen's, their Weissbier is excellent. Since you're in TX, this beer might not be as interesting to you, since you have Live Oak, which is also outstanding.
I was actually at Prost a few months ago. They do the more traditional styles and do a hell of a job. I didn't realize they do growler fills. Do they growler dank ipa? Also, do you ever go to Golden City?
I haven't seen Dank in a store, but that's probably because it's a seasonal beer. I got to GCB on occasion, use to more, but in the last 6 months we've had 2 more small breweries open in town and they're both a closer walk for me. With that said, I was at GCB twice in the last week.
