You must mean Good Night Mekong......
Sold out the same night it was released on Monday at CCB. They did have a 1 case limit which seemed kind of high
Per their most recent post, bottles are en route to Mekong in Richmond for release. No distribution. Was $13/bottle at the CCB release so assume the same in Richmond once it arrives at Mekong.

what is the likelihood of him referring to a 1 year old beer that was mostly (solely?) draft only in 2 locations vs a less than 1 week old bottled beer with hype that sold out instantly at the brewery?

 

Maybe. That beer was a one off brewed last year. Don't think it was bottled.

good night had about 70 cases go out the door at CCB. it's really, really tasty.

Apology for what? I wasn't in the wrong, what he posted about was an actual beer. Not my fault he posted about the wrong beer.

 

@kegnation I don't think he was really asking for an apology it was probably just said jokingly and tagged you to show he was correct in his original assumption. Hence the smily face.

Bottles being released at Mekong in RVA Tues April 28th with another release Sun May 3rd.

 

Nice, I think I'll actually be in town for that.

 

Looks like Good Night Mekong may not be ready for sale on the previously mentioned Apr 27th & May 3rd during The Answer's Grand Opening week. They updated details of their events next week stating the release may get pushed out. I can only assume this is due to getting the bottle licensed for sale in VA. Similiar to the delay Hardywood had with Milkmaid is my guess.

The Answer has confirmed Good Night Mekong will NOT be available in time for Tuesday's events. Hoping to be able to release it Sat & Sun.
"Unfortunately we will not have Goodnight Mekong bottles in time to sell on Tuesday of Grand Opening week. However, if all goes to plan, we will be able to sell them next Saturday and Sunday (May 2nd and 3rd). Keep an eye out for further details. Thanks for your patience everyone!"

 

Guess it was not meant to be......The Answer updated yesterday that Good Night Mekong bottles will NOT be available for sale this weekend. A new release dates is TBD

 

Damnit! I was all set to go up there tomorrow as I had the excuse of driving my wife to a baby shower...now how do I get out of that....
