Good Mosaic IPAs?

Did anyone say southern tier 2XONE?

 

I liked Sam Adams Latitude 48 Mosaic. Quite tasty brew.

 

I don't recall reading anything on the Dirt Wolf bottle about Mosaic hops. They talked about some fast-growing experimental hops. Either way, it tasted nothing like Mosaic to me. Focal Banger is a fantastic showcase of Mosiac, and it also adds another personal favorite in Citra. If you're a homebrewer, I highly recommend brewing a single hop, "session" IPA with this hop to get the full effect of their goodness. Less grain, more hops, and you'll definitely be hooked on the flavor!

 

Just brewed a Mosaic/Simcoe IPA with a massive mosaic dry hop. Fantastic.

 

Dayglow IPA was fantastic. Fresh Squeezed is great and so is Blazing World.

Two locals that were/are fantastic. Community Mosaic IPA and Hops and Grain Greenhouse IPA with mosaic.

 

Yes I found the Chillwave to be a very flavorful yet smooth finishing IPA.

 

Yeah, I looked it up after writing that... The only text on the bottle is that top description about hops being wild vines that grow from the ground like wolves. I had no idea that there was any mosaic, nor could I taste any... but I think I may have gotten an older bottle.

 

Led Zeppelin IV.....What,...Mosaic?....oh, my bad....Nevermind

 

Blue Point Mosaic IPA is fantastic.

 

Mikkeller Mosaic IPA is a favorite of mine, not only of the single hop variety but of Mikkeller's as well

 

They have a broken down 12 pack where they have 2 of each single hopped beers that make up latitude 48 and then the original beer. Pretty cool idea and the mosaic is decent in it.

 

Where'd you hear mosaic was in Supernaut? I loved that beer, but I didn't get mosaic at all. I got the same exact hop profile as Gandhi Bot.

 

Hop Ranch was my favorite. I'm not a huge fan of the single hop Mosaic beers, I think they come across as too one dimensional. I think the hops needs something to compliment them. Road Warrior from green flash was excellent too for a different use of mosaic hops. Dirt Wolf is a real juicy DIPA too using it.

 

Yuuuuuuuuuuup came here just to say that. Or to say just that. Whichever is the right way to phrase that.

It may not be what you're thinking of when you ask for a (D)IPA that showcases the Mosaic variety, because you're probably talking about a 6-10% ABV neutral American ale yeast-fermented pale ale with massive dry-hopping (because hey, isn't that what we're all looking for?), but trust me, this one is a very nice showcase of Mosaic.

 

Prairie is coming out with "Funky Gold Mosaic" soon, which will be a great funky showing of the Mosaic hop! Can't wait!

 

Really? I tried them in the same day and tasted nothing like the other. Supernaut was a classic mosaic IMO.
