Mosaic is indeed used to brew Limbo IPA but there are a number of other varieties used:

“This fragrant, light amber-colored brew wafts heady wisps of tangerine and mango to draw you in. Mission accomplished: its pungent aroma is absolutely captivating. There’s a massive amount of hoppiness in here, but the heavenly quartet of Bravo, Chinook, Galaxy, and Mosaic hops deliver much more flavor than they do raw bitterness.”

Check; it's not a Mosaic-only brew, to be sure. Nonetheless, I find the Mosaic influence quite heavy-handed in that brew, as it comes through clear as a bell - far more so than the Galaxy hops used (one of my favorites!).

I have homebrewed beers solely hopped with Mosaic hops. For my palate Limbo IPA was not even close to my solely hopped Mosaic beers.

    Cheers!

I'm certainly not going to argue with you there, Jack! No doubt, single hop Mosaic brews show it through even more cleanly (Proclamation's Derivative series is a great, great example of showcasing single hops brilliantly).

That said, while there is more going on in Limbo than just Mosaic, I still feel it is the single largest contributor to the flavor profile. It's certainly not the Galaxy hops (one of my favorites), nor can I attest to feeling strong Chinook or Bravo presence (I'm not very familiar with Bravo hops, to be honest).

It's not a one-hit wonder, but outside of Founders Mosaic Promise, I still think one would be hard pressed to find a good representative of Mosaic hops in such an easily accessible format.

Lost Nation Mosaic IPA was excellent, particularly how flavorful and full bodied it was clocking in at lighweight 5.5%!

I would recommend Southern Tier @XSMASH to you. It is available now (January till spring); I have a 6-pack in my refrigerator.

    Cheers!

Ooh, I haven't seen that one yet! I do love the ST 2x series, though. 2xIPA is, IMO, seriously overlooked. I'll check it out if I see it (when I'm around, anyway).

    Cheers, Jack!

If you locate this beer I would appreciate hearing your thoughts. You sound like you have a 'finely tuned' palate for Mosaic hops so I would greatly enjoy hearing your thoughts on this specific beer.

    Cheers!

I'm not a big fan of "finely tuned" palates; I rather think I have one of the more basic and unremarkable palates around here. Nevertheless, I find Mosaic to be one of those hops that just screams out at you. Galaxy is certainly another one, as is Citra.

I've never quite developed the palate for Noble hops. I can appreciate them in a beer, but damned if I can identify them by taste. :flushed:

Permit me to refine your above statement to: "Mosaic to be one of those hops that just screams out at Roguer". Since the hops screams to you, please let me know what you 'hear' when you drink Southern Tier 2XSMASH.

    Cheers!

Pipeworks Lizard King is legit - think they distribute to Texas.

If you can get your hands on Other Half Mosaic, that beer is phenomenal also but you'd have to trade for it.
