I had a pretrade set up that ended up falling threw. OP ended up shipping back everything I had sent and trade request was accepted. Now when it comes to the feedback, is that a bad trade or what is the normal feedback left for this situation?

Might need more details, but if you're not out any beer and the OP reimbursed you for the cost of shipping then I'd just let the trade feedback sit for 30 days and it should automatically dissapear, if I remember correctly.

He didn't reimburse shipping. I had sent 2 packages at 2 different occasions that went toward this trade because he asked if I could get something else as well. He did include a couple of extras but not nearly what I spent in shipping.

He needs to reimburse you for shipping if you didn't get your beers, in my opinion.

I think the ideal solution is that the trade just goes away. Not sure how this can happen?

If not I would just leave good feedback and be done with it. Your out shipping but got some extras. Hes out shipping and the extras. Sucks for both parties but not sure its worth the trouble of leaving bad feedback.

In a perfect world he should have reimbursed you for shipping and sent extras. Could have been worse

You return the beer and the shipping, and a few locals for the trouble. Seems fair, who wouldn't do that, shit happens. No bad feedback

If it was me, I would reimburse the differance in shipping, as that seems like the right thing to do. Unless he extra'd a DBH, then I'd let the shipping costs slide  Also, I would both leave no feedback and after (30) days it will be gone.

I'm assuming that it didn't go through because of problems on his end. In that case he should reimburse what you paid for shipping. What extras did you receive?

IF those were really beers you wanted perhaps request that 1/2 of the shipping be reimbursed. What happened that you didn't get the beers you originally agreed to?

^^^^This. I'm assuming that the other BA couldn't get the beer(s) on the pre-trade.

I didn't ask for those. He threw them in for the "inconvenience" and he said that he didn't get the beers we agreed to because the distro was horrible.

Request that he reimburse your shipping costs, especially since he apparently requested that you ship some stuff prior to him receiving the agreed upon release. What was it, btw? And what did you ship?

@dmbforever Yes, GI BCBS, especially the variants would be my guess, too. *shrug* Still, I'd like to see confirmation of exactly what it was.

IF a trade was formally agreed to, the person should have had a verrry high degree of confidence that the agreed upon beers would actually be obtained. JMO.

If it's a pre-trade and the beers you sent can be shipped back (i.e, it's not some fresh IPAs that needs to be shipped right away), why did you ship first? I pre-traded a couple of times, but always waited until the beers are in possession on my end or on my partner's end before we both ship around the same time.

Anyway, the "extras" were for the inconvenience, but he definitely needs to reimburse for every dime of your shipping cost...well, unless he said no, don't ship first, but you insisted and did anyway.

The beer was BC prop and he stated he knew people at goose island and at stores.
I had a previous trade done with the guy and he asked if I could ship it sooner since he wanted to have the beer for his vacation. That and I've got over 60 plus trades that have gone just fine this is the first trade I've ever had an issue with.
