Seems a LOT more Almanac is hitting shelves. Shouldn't be too hard to find.

Or you can just, you know, buy Buffalo Jill's. It's practically the same thing.

Almanac Pumpkin BW is awful! Stop buying it! Send me all bottles so you don't have to endure the grossness.

There is no such thing as a good pumpkin beer.

Assuming that TREAT isn't all fucked this year, it's a damn good beer as well.

When was it good? This is a serious question, btw. I had it about 2 or 3 years ago and was really hyped to have it based on its reputation, but when I finally did, I found it to be quite disappointing. I haven't had it since, but I'm really curious how it tastes like when it's at its best.

Ones I've had that I've enjoyed are Treat, Rumpkin, Uinta Oak Jacked & Almanac Heirloom Pumkin. Which would've been cool called Pumkin Patch but I guess DogPatch killed that idea.

Ones I didn't think too much of: Shipyard Smashed and Dogfish Pumkin.

I want to say... two years ago it was excellent? Last years as bad.

The new Pumpkin Porter from Redhook is quite good I'll be buying a couple more sixers of it this season.

Is this available at grocery stores like Ralph's?

I could have swore it was Buffalo Jill's. Oh well.

    Ahhh.

Also, just FYI. There is a new batch of Almanac Pumpkin BW coming out in the next few weeks. Keep your eyes peeled for some more draft and bottle offerings.

I got a friend who lives out in San Francisco that ships me back various things from Russian River, and other really good breweries out there. But he just sent me a shipment of Almanac beers that are damn tasty. I may have to put in a request for that pumpkin barleywine I hear you all talking about.

Is it going to be the same heirloom pumpkin barleywine or that grand cru? Thought I'd read that the grand cru would be out about the same time as the heirloom pumpkin but haven't seen anything about it again since.

Probably depends on the grocery store, most certainly will be at Total Wine's and Bevmo's.
