Heading to SF this week for work from NYC. I'm hoping to sample a variety of west coast beers while out there. Won't have a ton of time to bar hop, so is there a good one or two bars that will offer greatest variety? Will be staying in the Mission.

    Thanks!

Check out Toronado, Monks Kettle (in the mission), City Beer Store (and Cellarmaker) and Mikkeller

Since you're in the Mission, you can also drop by Crafty Fox Ale House in addition to beerdoggie's recs. They tend to have a good selection.

For the best selection of California beer, the Crafty Fox has a great tap list right now - I just saw they had cans of Moonraker Sling Jaw IPA too. You can't go wrong with City Beer or Toronado either. I've never been a fan of Monk's Kettle but I think that's a personal issue...
If you want to hit a couple of breweries, Cellarmaker always makes a few great West Coast style pale ales and IPAs and Almanac just opened a new taproom on 24th - crowded but really good beer!
