FNG here from the Bradenton/Sarasota area who does most of his shopping at TW. While their selection is often vast, the staff isn't usually much help aside from one bearded el catador member who works there, and I haven't seen him in ages. Do you guys have any recommendations for good, knowledgeable shops in the area?
ABC Bee Ridge gets the good stuff or take a short trip to Brandon to Kingdom Liquors. .. That place has the stuff you're probably looking for
I've had a pretty good experience with TW Sarasota except that they will routinely sell the entire lot of some major releases to one or two regular customers instead of doing a per person bottle limit. I'll second Kingdom as being a good choice and every now and again the Winthrop shop has some goodies too..
I'll have to check out the ABC on Bee Ridge. I rarely get up to Brandon, as I work in St. Pete so it's the total opposite way for me. On the upside, Shep's in St Pete has a pretty good selection, but they mark up a bit.
