I'm visiting some family up in Santa Cruz. Up from SoCal and damn is it nice up here! If you have any idea for beer related things to do in SC, let me know! My main question is I'm going through SJ and SF tomorrow and I'm really hoping to bring back some Pliny the Elder for my buddies. We have a lot of trouble getting it where we live, so I figured I'd grab some and bring it back. If you have any suggestions for stores in those cities, I'd be really grateful. Also if there is some other exclusive bottles I should look for up here, let me know!
I have yet to check them out but I hear http://beer-revolution.com/ in Oakland is a damn good go to bar/store (Not sure about Pliny).
I think Wednesday is the delivery day for Pliny/Blind Pig (slightly better than Pliny, IMO) in SF area and it sells out quick everywhere. K&L in Redwood City/Mountain View might be a good place to try. But Beer Rev is definitely worth visiting, as is City Beer and Healthy Spirits in SF. As long as you're in Santa Cruz, check out Whole Foods, 41st Ave., and New Leaf. Also the draft (and burgers) at Burger.
