Is there anywhere in the area of Oak Lawn, Orland Park, Tinley that has a decent selection of beer on tap? I am not looking for a huge lineup, but it would be nice to have something other than Miller Lite to drink while in town.
Blarney Stone in oak forest has some decent stuff but its a depressing town and a depressing bar (((editors note, the author was born and raised in oak forest and was drinking monks cafe on black Wednesday surrounded by dopey kids drinking miller)))
If you're willing to drive a bit east go to Flossmoor Station. Ever more adventurous about 30 minutes east and you could be at Three Floyds
My wife is from this area so we travel from MN quite often and we have ventured over to Three Floyds. Definitely worth the drive. I plan on getting to Two Brothers during one of these trips too. The problem has always been finding good beer on tap. It is nice that even most places have at least a couple taps like Green Line or a Bells, Great Lakes, or Lagunitas. I would like to find some stuff on tap that I can't get in MN. I have also made Binny's a requirement on each trip. Thanks for the suggestions though!
De ja brew and quigleys in oak lawn have a decent tap list. I think quigleys has about 15 craft beers on tap and De Ja Brew has maybe 6 or 7 they rotate. Good stuff like revolution, bells, great lakes, and three floyds.
You forgot to mention that you have to make a reservation at Tribes about 6 months in advance. Holy crap! Looked like an awesome place, but we didn't want to wait. Went to Blarney Stone. Pretty solid lineup for a neighborhood dive.
