Heading up to Portland next Friday the 17th. We’re definitely limited on time and expect to be gone by about 2:00 PM. We want to hit Goodfire, Lone Pine and Bissell. Goodfire announced a can release of Super Prime that day at Noon. I have no idea what a normal can release for them is like, let alone Super Prime. Good bet people will be lined up hours before? Will I be able to get pours during a release like this or could they shut that down and focus on the can line only? How long would you expect to be in their can line for a release...no wait, 10-30mins, 30-60mins, over an hour? Any tips on parking or any other useful bits of info about visiting Goodfire and Lone Pine would be much appreciated. Hoping to make this an awesome visit. Can’t wait to get up there! Thanks for your help!!
Parking can be a pain, but I have always found a spot. I have been to Goodfire 5 times and have purchased cans each time. I have never seen a line. As this seems like a popular beer, it may be different. I have never seen a line at Lone Pine either. I went to both on Friday July 20th (heart of vacation season in ME) at around open. They had 3 or 4 can options available at Goodfire. There was maybe 3 people in the place. 5 or 6 people showed up and bought cans and left while I had a beer. I do think Goodfire is making some of the best brews in Portland right now and I am excited to try Super Prime.
I got rear ended in their lot today. In fairness to the asshole who hit me while I was inside and then drove off without stopping and to all the useless douchebags who watched it happen and never said a word, it is a very small, awkward parking lot.
