I'm just curious how the Matilda Lambicus is going to compare to the Bruxellensis version.

Is it weird that I just stopped at a bank and set up a savings acct to be automatically transferred 10 bucks from my checking every week from now till November?

Weird? Not at all. Brilliant, forward thinking, sustainable, are three words that come to mind.

Goose Island The Illinois has been showing up on tap around Des Moines lately. I didn't see this beer on their 2013 schedule, is this just a one-off? If so, it's great!

According to the entry for it (http://beeradvocate.com/beer/profile/1549/95230), it's a one-off keg only thing. But, the old Imperial IPA (http://beeradvocate.com/beer/profile/1549/14366) was making its way around tap takeovers in out-of-state markets last year.

So this might be a new version of that old beer. Or it could be something new. Probably need to ask the rep at the event and take the answer with a grain of salt.

I was told it was redone to avoid some of those "onion" notes that people (myself included) detected from the old IIPA. Looking forward to trying this new version, I've heard great stuff.

That jives with what I was told. Apparently, they are rebrewing some "old favorites" for tap takeovers, especially for pushing into new markets.

Both Pepe Nero and Fleur are disappointments. Flush that shit and make more Madame Rose of Juliet.

Subtle? I think it's straight up bland. Yes it's skillfully brewed but not to my taste.
