Idk. Typically the fake ones have been keg labels. I also couldn't find approval for that on TTB yet. Last approved one was Prop. So who knows?

Really like the Born and Raised offering released this year, hope it remains available on a regular basis, or least on regular rotation. Draft only, 100 taps in Chicago with special tap handles. Beer has a nice bold aroma and bread, malt, taste, corn and grass backing, slightly dry and bitter, crisp clean summer drinking. Kept ordering until we left the bar after my first pour.

BCS Prop 2013 and Templeton Rye on tap at GI Clybourn tonight. No prices listed (previous similar events offered $10-$12 5 oz snifter pours).

We're celebrating the first Friday the 13th of the year with some vintage #BourbonCountyStout tappings! Friday, September 13th, 6:00pm: 2013 BCS Proprietor's. 7:00pm: 2013 BCS Templeton Rye. *First come, first served. Limited availability.

At this point of faded coconut can't they just pour 2013 regular and claim the extra $5 for the beer is because it is Prop 2013?

Coconut held up better in the keg than the last bottle I had in 2017. Had Templeton Rye last winter at Fulton and it was an excellent pour, need to leave before this tap but worth grabbing if you’re able to make it. $12 5 oz, $2 more than the 5 oz Fulton pours last year, I believe the same as the 2014 Vanilla Rye pours in July 2018.

This was my favorite prop I’ve had a chance to try so worth coming down “for old times sake” (quotes Abe Vigoda).

That's because Prop '13 is fermented with god's tears

Not gonna lie, I messed around with the formatting for a couple minutes debating that

Today! Wish I could go but other plans arose. I'd advise people to show up at door opening if you're going. Last year Goose Island closed the doors really early (which was nice for people who got in)

I'll be there tonight, maybe tomorrow. Say hi. Or don't. Or whatever.

Had a great time at the Block Party. Cuvee De Mystere was fantastic, but my favorite was the 2015 Templeton Rye. Pretty much a perfect BA Stout for my palate.

Prop Day lottery starts next Monday at noon! Hopefully I can get back there this year. Last year was a blast!

I typically don't drink much from Goose Island other than BCBS since they changed (and then dumped) Honker's Ale. I tried Lost Palate at a party today though, and it was pretty good. It's a hazy IPA with mango and cinnamon, which doesn't sound like it should work, but it really does.

I was also super impressed with it. Didn't think I was going to like it.

And if you want to hear the story behind the beer you should listen to this definitely not affiliated with me podcast about it...
