First off, who's going? Despite being pricey ($70), I will certainly be there if I can grab tickets, as it was one of my favorite beer fests last year.

Secondly, are MBAs getting first shot at this, as usual?

Wasn't the 25th anniversary party only $35? How do you justify a double price jump in 2 years?

I think it was actually $25, if my Googling skillz are correct. However, it looks like that didn't include food (I didn't go)?

Last year was $65 and included all you could eat/drink, so technically it's only a $5 raise from last year.

I had a great time. It was uncomfortably packed (I personally think they overbook slightly), but the beers on tap were great, and even the big stuff (Prop, Nutulhu, etc.) were tapped once every hour or two (so that when they kicked in 20-30 minutes, you simply had to wait a little while). If you're a fan of GI Clybourn's beers, I'd definitely consider it.

I'd go if it was on a Fri/Sat.

Honestly, I think the fact that it's a weekday is the only reason it's even somewhat manageable.

I'm not local so being on a weekday makes it nearly impossible.

No, I get it, I'm just saying that's probably their rationale. The Sunday Funday event at their barrel warehouse might be more up your alley, though, and it's wayyyyy cheaper.

Any tap list updates for this?

Last year's event was so good I was let down this year. Less space, less beers and more money. However, the Flanders Red and Cran-Bruin were excellent. Next year they should close down the whole place, bring out the rare stuff and sell some bottles! I'd rather pay more and have the event kick ass.

Yeah, most people seemed a little disappointed. I was really happy with a couple of the beers on tap, and with the much smaller crowd, but it definitely was a let down compared to the epicness of the 26th anny party.

    I thought Meridian was awesome.
