Goose Island at Wrigley

Best part is how vendors walking around will now have 312 Wheat and 312 Pale instead of Old Style.

 

I didn't even realize that Old Style is no longer the official beer of the Cubs.

 

Oh good, now we can get drunk on decent beer while they lose.

 

End of an era...happy to see better beer available all over instead of making the trek to the Captain Morgan club.

 

i was there opening day....$8.50 for a Goose Island... $8 for bud light...

 

I went Saturday and was thankfully in the sun…. Only Old Style I found as at the “import craft” booth just east of the main entrance (Didn’t really look anywhere else). It was $7.75 for a 16 oz can.


Bud was priced .25 higher than last year and as noted above is now $8 for a 16 oz can. In my section (#32) just as many people were buying Goose as Bud heavy or light.


I would really like to see the Cubs have a couple of stand where you could get local crafts. How good would a Metropolitan Flywheel or a Daisy Cutter taste compared to what they are offering..


BTW, pregame went to Bernie’s. They have upped their offerings. I saw a couple of taps from Revolution and Half Acre. Had a very fresh Gossamer with my brat (may have been the best part of game day )
