I had a sample of Backyard fresh and decided to cellar my bottles to let the flavors blend together more. I like where Bramble went with some age on it and think Backyard will develop similarly.

Thanks. that was what I was thinking. Where is cherry rye now? Before tonight I had all the bombers in the fridge. Had to drink the prop.

I haven't had Cherry since last Super Bowl. I periodically check ratings of the variants to see what people are saying when trying to get a sense of what to open and when.

Thanks. I've never had it so I just want to drink it at it's peak but I assume it must be drinking well now. I'll check the reviews. Time to drink the rare and 09 bombers I assume.

Coming from someone who has been fortunate enough to have Cherry Rye 3 times, I can honestly say this beer ages terribly. It was mind-blowing fresh, easily in my top 10. With 6 months on it it was just good. With a year on it, I thought it tasted like medicine. My friend and I would've DPed it had it not been a Cherry Rye.
