Goose Island BCS availability

i've had several heated discussions with other BAs - i suspect GI's finding out that going forward it won't just be a matter of finding emptied barrels and filling them with their best stout. the next generation of empty barrels is probably going to require a great deal more scrutiny.

not that it will be admitted, but i'm betting that's the main reason the BCS release (which was supposed to be bigger) was actually smaller, the secondary release was supposed to be bottled but actually was only kegged & the wheated BCS they were aging & bragging about releasing actually never made it to market. jmho

 

I'm getting a funny feeling that 2011 will be the peak in quality (arguably against 2008) going forward sadly.

 

I have not seen the Nut Brown Ale in CA. I wonder if that e-mail is an automated response for other markets.
