Your store got 2 cases of a beer that rarely shows up and you're proud you bought 1 entirely?

Way to spread the wealth

BA tenfidy is a decent stuff, and their 4 pack format is really cool with reasonable price. But this year’s regular BCBS is a different level. It was so good, definitely better than 2018. You don’t wanna miss it.

And do not age BA tenfidy, its only good when it is fresh.

The price will keep what remains on the shelves for weeks around here. The same is true for what little BCBS we get. Anything pricey sits around for a long while here.

Giant Eagle near me had some regular on the shelf last night. $14/bottle. I grabbed 3 and then went back for 2 more this morning because I have no impulse control. Is that too many? There was still 20 or so sitting there. Probably won't grab any more unless I see a variant I think I'd like.

And I’m not “proud,” by the way. I have no particular feeling one way or the other. It’s just beer.

My 2 stops for it today. The first was a Total Wine, and it looked like they had the usual amount. The 2nd stop, a smaller liquor store, that I was able to get bottles of regular 2 days later, only got 20% of what they got last year.

I'm happy. I got 4 regular, 1 Wheatwine, and 2 Coffee. Though, 1 regular and 1 coffee I got for someone else who couldn't go due to work this year.

I grabbed 3 regulars on Wednesday at an independent distributor for 13.99 each, which ended up being the same price as Giant Eagle today - so I'm assuming that will be the lowest price in the PGH area. Today I went to a few spots and no one was really selling the variants a la carte, they were all part of an "allotment" package. I wish I wouldn't have bought any on Wednesday since I ended up having to buy more today in order to get some variants. Pleasant surprise at one bottle shop - they didn't have any 2019 variants but I was able to grab singles of '16 & '17 Barleywine. Unfortunately the store closest to me, which tends to run slightly high on average, was selling regular for $19.99 and leftover variants from 18 for $39.99 lol...they have the 3-yr vert pack for $89.99!!! I did not purchase any BCBS there. All in all I came away with plenty of regular, 3 Cafe, 2 Mon Cheri, and 1 Wheatwine so I'm happy. Now of course I'll probably try to trade for some of the Reserve stuff, but who knows how that will go.

Perfect Pour is a shadow of it's former self, the owner sold the place and opened a new place out I70 edge of Ellicott City in a new shopping center, seems the center is a little slow to pick up and his new beer place reflects the lack of traffic, not bad, but nothing like the old PP.

I go in PP from time to time for old times sake, prices still stratospheric and usually can find something interesting, but they've cut way back on their beer inventory. I get my BCBS at Cindy's in Elkridge, scored the cherry, coffee and rye earlier today.

If it's just "beer" why would you buy an entire case as opposed to a 4-Pack? Do make it a habit to buy an entire case of every "beer" you encounter?

Also, I'm here to say don't waste your money on the '19 Mon Cheri Stout....it's total crap.

I had a 5oz pour of the Cafe de Olla.

It was not nearly as good as previous variants -- way too sweet and not hearty enough. Considering the bottle price, I'd recommend skipping it.

Watched a lady get pissed trying to buy KBS for her boyfriend only to be turned down over and over. They asked her if she was looking for bourbon county but she was adamant she needed to get KBS. LOL

Always surprised by the difference in distribution. Started this morning in Wichita where best beer store in town was limit 2 of original and they had total of12 Reserve and 12 Cheri. $11.99 per for original, no idea for varient as we had no chance. On way home stopped into store in Joplin, where no limits on original and 2 for Cheri. $14.99 for original, $23.99 for Cheri. Actually out on the shelves. In Springfield scored 2 coffee. Also drank 2018 & 2019 on tap. Delicious as always.
