So does this mean I need to go Black Friday shopping for the first time in my life? Any idea if we will see the Bourbon County Barleywine as well? I have no hopes to see the variants although I would love to.

I wonder how crazy this will be...a lot of stores are promoting it, so maybe stores wont be as packed as bad as I originally thought since the GI will be spread out to so many stores...unless they do a 1 bottle limit on the stuff and people go from store to store, which IMHO, I would rather just throw up some trade bait and trade for it and save the headache of traveling on one of the top 5 worst days for being out in public due to the crazies looking for doorbuster deals.

 

Interestingly enough, although it's supposedly Chicago-only, GI got a label approved for 1/6th barrel kegs of the Proprietor's Blend in Florida.

As an aside, looking through these label approvals, it looks like Uinta is coming this way. Can't wait for Labyrinth to turd up our shelves.

 

South Florida total wine employee said "4 kinds" of bourbon county coming this week. What is the 4th kind after bcbs, coffee, and barleywine?

Anyone in South Florida/Broward have any suggestions on where I should go to find some?
I'll be down for thanksgiving visiting family, and have no clue on where to go. Most of the places I've called have no idea what I'm talking about, and I've only got one affirmative response in Fort Lauderdale...

 

Anyone know if TWs will have them? I'm assuming they will, but surprised I didn't get an e-mail about them.

Also, anyone know the price(s) for these?

The one affirmative I've heard was from a Total Wine, but results may vary. One knew what I was talking about, and another store told me that it was a holiday week, so that I shouldn't be expecting any special releases...

 

My interaction with Total Wine South Florida on Facebook last week:

TW: Craft beer fans- the wait is almost over. Plan on being at Total Wine at 9am on Black Friday to ensure you get some Goose Island Beer Co. Bourbon County Stout! This is the first time this amazing beer has been offered in Florida. Trust us, it won't last long.

Me: What's the bottle limit? Will you also have the coffee bcbs and barleywine? All locations?

TW: All locations will have Bourbon County Stout. Bottle limits are not determined yet as allocations are not finalized for every location. We should have coffee and barleywine at every store.

Me: Any updates on bottle limits or if each store will have all 4 variants? I'd like to get in line at the Plantation store but would travel to downtown Ft Lauderdale if they will be having a better selection.

That's crazy. I know some stores lost allocation for releasing early... But hey, buy it if you see it.
