If you think it's insulting to be identified with your employer, then you should get a different job.

I think you missed the point. Your employer owns the product, the brand, and everything you do. It's kinda hard to not be associated with them when they are your employer.

I said you missed the point because you implied it's OK to insult the brewers because they were heading to the bank, even though they aren't.

They're a subsidiary of a beer giant that makes some decent beers. Simple as that.

when these threads emerge, i'd love to know why it matters??

now that it's discussed can someone point to what it means if a majority of people said YES or NO? does it alter ones potential spending habits & trends? does one sleep better/worse at night depending on the answers provided?

If the majority is NO, they go to beer jail.

Yes, I assumed you meant the owners, since for many small breweries the owners are brewers. However, it seems to me that Greg Hall, the Brewmaster at the time of the buyout, is the son of Founder and President John Hall and surely walks away with some portion of that $38.8 million. And I did not say it was OK to insult anyone, though I surely have no sympathy for anyone who would feel insulted by any of this.

I don't like that abinbev owns them, but, bcbs and their other barrel aged beers are so good, I will have a long hard inner battle over buying them if and when I come across them next

No prob. I'm glad its working out for you. Gumballhead is getting harder to get than Blabaer around here. lol I had both of your homebrews and was impressed with both. Me and Bob shared the milk stout and both agreed that is was better than the Left Hand m.s. Good stuff.
