I apologize if this thread has been made before, but I figured I'd just go ahead and ask. I know their IPA, Honker's, and Urban Wheat are pretty much everywhere. What's the deal with their more special beers? I'm not expecting BC variations, or at least not yet... But offerings like Sofie, Matilda, etc.? Are you guys that weren't getting some of these more special offerings in the past seeing these in your neck of the woods?

You talking about the Seek A Brew? I know where it's distributed, I just haven't seen the more special beers around.

Sofie, Matilda, Pere Jacques, etc... have been available at So Cal BevMo stores pretty readily the past few years. Rumor has it that BCS will once again be better-distributed, like it was 4 or 5 years ago... we shall see.

After checking the beer finder referenced above, it appears that only Matilda is available in bottles in the Los Angeles area right now. Huh.

IPA, Honker's, and Urban Wheat arent exactly everywhere. I only found 1 store around here that had Urban Wheat in cans. I expect to see these beers right next to Bud in the cooler as they should be but stores arent even stocking them like that. Havent even seen Goose Island Summertime around anywhere. No no of course they arent rare but its not like they are in every store like Bud and I thought they would be.

Hmm. We never got GI before the AB-InBev acquisition, but now those three are pretty much guaranteed in all of our grocery stores!

I can only speak for Connecticut. The distributor I work for has the classic series ( honkers, IPA, urban 312, and seasonals) and the vintage series ( Matilda, softie, pere, and pepe). We did get bourbon regular and coffee, Big John, and Night Stalker but we went through our allotment real fast. There has been talk about them adding to the line this year. We have been told if they expand the line to us the beer will just show up ( god I can not wait to try more of there great beers). Your best bet would be just call your local AB distributor. Cheers!

Matilda, Sofie etc has always been easy for me to find. Im assuming because its in more high demand. I can go to a liquor store right down the street and I guarantee you they will have Sofie and Matilda on the shelves but if I look in the cooler I might not see Honkers, Urban Wheat or the IPA there. Last time I went they had the IPA in boxes and it was old and they didnt even bother putting it in the cooler.

Not to be "that guy" but here in Chicago, no one would know what you were talking about if you asked for an "urban wheat." It's universally referred to as 312 (Three-One-Two, not Three Twelve).
