Goose Island Migration Week Philly 8/4- 8/8

    Anyone have any info on the events taking place in Philly this year? I wasn't around for it last year, but I heard they brought some BC Vanilla and Rare to share. I'd really love to try these

    I can confirm that they were breaking out bottles of Rare, King Henry, and Vanilla and pouring small samples last year. Keep an eye out on www.phillytapfinder.com/events/ he should have them listed.

    Do you remember which bars had which? I check PhillyTapFinder daily, but I doubt they'll know which bars are getting the special bottles. I just really need to try Rare haha I've been waiting too long

    From what I saw on twitter and elsewhere, it seemed as though every event they had in Philly last year for migration week included them popping some bottles. I happened to be at City Tap House for their event (completely unplanned) and sampled Rare. The reps/GI employees were walking around to everyone in the bar area, and offering up small samples.

    Eulogy had an event last year. They were pouring small samples (shot glasses) of Rare and KH. I believe they had vanilla too, but I'm not 100% sure.

    Last year, they were at Strangelove's (Cherry Rye was on draft along with those bottles mentioned), Bishop's Collar (BCBCS was on draft and they had a case of Cherry Rye for sale), and Sidecar Bar (BCBCS). They were at Eulogy and TJ as well, but I didn't make it to those 2 so I didn't know what they had.

    I really love this event. GI people are exceptionally nice.

    If i recall correctly, tjs had no bottles for sale, but bcbs, bcbcs, madame rose, paradisi, and lolita on draft, plus the rare bottle samples. Good times.

    So now that Migration week is upon us, anyone here of any more events going on? I did see the Resurrection event and the Capone's event. Also saw that Alla Spina had an industry night tonight for GI stuff. Any others?

    I'm a huge fan of Alla Spina happy hour and went there around 5PM yesterday only to find out they were closed for the event. I did find out that Proprietor's was on tap though. I'm hoping (looooong shot) that they may have some left over for today.

    Oh, today is National Oyster Day. $1/shuck at Alla Spina all day just in case anyone is an oyster fan like me.
