I see this on Goose Island's website but no details yet. Anyone got the scoop? If they have Prop and Vanilla Rye I will be driving up for sure.

Should have driven down into DC today, Prop and VR on tap @ both ChurchKey and Whole Foods P St this evening. There are a few more DC events this week will have both as well.

And I'm guessing they will bring both to Philly that week as well. Having just had both well worth the effort to seek them out!

Yeah, I didn't know about it until 5 PM today, can't make any other events in DC. Definitely going to Philly.

For anyone looking to drive into Philly on 9/28, keep in mind that the Pope will have been in the city that weekend and various road and bridge closures will remain in effect until Monday afternoon. Expect traffic and parking to be difficult.

I wonder what the odds are that I can convince my wife
that she wants me to take her to the Blue Dog for her birthday?

Hawthorne's was awesome tonight -- got Proprietors 2014 x2, Vanilla Rye 2014, Halia 2013 (I think it was 2013, one of the Goose Island employees gave it to me for free and didn't specify if it was 2015 or 2013), Gillian 2015, and Juliet 2010. Vanilla Rye was poured from bottles, they ran out in 30 minutes. Proprietors keg kicked in a little over an hour. Can't wait for the beer lunch tomorrow at City Tap House Logan.

I got there around 8:15 and had a BCBS and BCBBW. Glad I made it down because that BW was one of the best in style I've ever had!

I've walked by it several times before tonight, but Hawthorne's is kind of weird in that it doesn't really have a bar—the taps are near the cash register, which is isolated near the takeout bottle refrigerators. Definitely a unique set up. But I'll be back again to try the food, which looked and smelled delicious.

Also happy because I picked up a 12 pack on the new Sierra Nevada Oktoberfest across the street for $23.

I just want to echo that Hawthornes and Goose Island put on a great event last night. It was awesome to finally try Prop, and even cooler to try it side by side with Vanilla Rye. The restaurant was well staffed and it really did not take long at all to get pours. The tap list as a whole was impressive when you factor in the various vintages of GI's sour offerings. Overall, it was a fun, relaxed atmosphere to enjoy some world class brews.

Another shout out to Hawthornes and the Goose event. Great time with a killer tap list! Prop met the hype, and the Vanilla was ok too...

Great work by Hawthorne's last night. I arrived at 6 and all the tables were taken. After the initial line to the bar, everything ran smoothly. You could tell while waiting that Vanilla Rye was going fast so I ordered one at the bar before sitting down. My wife and I briefly chatted with someone for a bit who exchanged a sip of Prop (I apologize for not remembering your name if you are on BA but thanks for sharing).

I was able to get Prop after sitting, while my wife had Halia 2013 and Juliet 2010. Everything was fantastic.

I went to City Tap House Logan this afternoon and tried Vanilla Rye on tap, it was even better than the pour I had from a bottle at Hawthorne's! Migration week is such a great concept!
