I remember feeling excited when I read about BCBS' production increasing. well, in the past week I've been to a dozen beer stores and not one of them even has a single bottle of the original. I'm hearing similar stories from other NJ residents, as well. this stuff is impossible to find in NJ, while it's sitting plentifully on shelves in most other states.

why does GI distribute like that? i'm just confused since NJ is so densely populated. it just reminds me how generally neglected NJ is in terms of beer distribution. anyone have a reason for this?

every store i go to has an endless amount of of Goose Island IPA and Christmas Ale, but BCBS is treated like Kaggen Stormskaporter in terms of rarity here. ridiculous.

I would trade people for it, but as i said there's nothing here that's even remotely rare, unless i want to drive an hour to Kane and get a limited $20 bottle of something random.

Yeah, it's pretty scarce here in NJ, which makes no sense as there are so many people and a rabid desire for it! In general though it's mostly Central NJ that has the terrible distribution due to High Grade being Goose Island's distributor in the area (same w/ Firestone Walker). I know North and South Jersey both got BCBS last week, though it went quickly! I've found 2 places in Central Jersey that have gotten normal BCBS, one got a single case and I got 1 bottle, the other I'm not sure how much they got, but it arrived and sold out in less than a 24hr period as I was calling every afternoon and one afternoon it hadn't arrived, and the next it was gone. I still haven't heard about any variants ANYWHERE in NJ, which is absurd!

As far as the mention of Kane stuff, they haven't priced anything at $20, and I wouldn't consider any of their bottles "random"! Their bottle releases have almost all been absolutely fantastic, and I've traded plenty of them for really good stuff!

High Grade (the distributor) got 117 cases - thats what I've been told. That has to be spread to god knows how many accounts. Much more than 117.

BCBS was allocated directly from AB In Bev this year based on the higher end Goose Island (sofie, matilda, pepe nero etc) so if you local store doesn't sell those...they will get all of 0 cases of BCBS and certainly no variants.

The bigger stores up here got 2-3 cases max of regular and haven't seen the variants quite yet. Should be around next week but good luck scoring any...should be harder to find than KBS.

And Kane's ANTEAD is better than BCBS.

My local store sold more Sofie, Matilda, and Pepe Nero than any other High Grade account, and they were told yesterday that they are getting 1 case (after being told a month or so ago they would get 5 cases + variants). The beer manager told them that if they show up w/ only 1 case they can take it back and take all the GI stuff off their shelves and he won't sell that brand ever again. He was furious when I talked to him yesterday! lol! High Grade is the worst!

Not sure how it was in other territories, but in Ritchie and Page land, there is still quite a bit to go around. A few stores still have some 4 packs left. But a lot of accounts got 3-4 cases. I guess ocean county just rocks more than other counties!

A good amount of accounts got it, less are getting variants, but everywhere i went there was a good chance it would be there. There is still a case and a half at the store around the corner from me....

Where in Ocean County is it still available? I only checked one store so far and they were sold out by Monday. They apparently only got the regular, and have no idea what else is coming and when.

Nash is by far the worst and I won't waste time citing examples but anyone in North Jersey knows this to be true. BCBS was allocated by AB InBev directly so the local distributors had no say and can't really be blamed for anything.

Most places I been to have the 1 bottle limit. Went to a local spot where I do my majority of buys and the owner greeted me with 4 packs for $22. A few left on the shelf when I left

R&P is selling them all over whereas the others are not as much. So many bottles. I even saw places selling cases.

The 2012 variants didn't reach NJ until the first week of January 2013. This may or may not be the case for this year too.

I'm going to throw it out there, but not still sure if they are stocked... Holiday Beverage in Staten Island had 2012 bombers of BCBS coffee (1 per customer), 4 packs of Barley Wine and regular. For those of you in Central NJ it's only a short ride over the bridge.
