Goose Island Stoutfest

"DESTIHL is gearing up to attend the Goose Island Stout Fest this weekend. We are pouring Black Angel Stout, Oengus Irish Stout, Belgian Double Stout and the first draw from our 33 hectoliter (871 gallon) French oak cognac foudre - our Belgian Imperial Stout! Hope to see you there"

Anyone heard of other features this week?

Join 18th Street and 15+ local breweries this Saturday, March the 29th at the Goose Island Stout Fest 2014! We'll be pouring HUNTER, HUNTER COFFEE, and HUNTER VANILLA- all barrel aged in Journeyman Distillery Buggy Whip Wheat Whiskey Barrels!

4 Hands Brewing Company will be pouring;

Chocolate Milk Stout - 5% Milk Stout aged on chocolate nibs
Bona Fide Imperial Stout - 8.5% Imperial Stout brewed with whole vanilla beans and columbian coffee
Madagascar - 9.3% Barrel Aged Imperial Milk Stout with whole vanilla beans
Eclipse - 9.3% Barrel Aged Imperial Milk Stout with raspberries

We don't have a lot of the Madagascar or Eclipse so try and grab those early in the festival

 

Vanilla Hunter? Madagascar?? Oh man this is shaping up nicely.

How's Parkin in the area? Is there a lot close?

 

Parking in Wrigleyville is a long shot. Also, driving to Stout Fest is usually a poor decision.

 

Unfortunately its all either permit or metered parking in the area. Metered parking should be easy to find at this hour, but it may only be 2 hour limits (I dont remember) so youd have to go out to fill the meter.

Also, as Drucifer said, you can drive to Stoutfest. Driving home is stupid.

 

Anyone know if they serve food during this thing?

I am sort of counting on it though. Haven't had time to eat yet this morning, and they had great food at DotLA, so definitely hopeful.
