Very nice article. I had read another where there was a second coffee label. Most excited for the berry stout, as I am most years.

    No coffee?? they're nuts!
Also seem to be competing with the craziness founder's has been putting out. BA blueberry stout sounds familiar...

Gotta say, six variants vs. the three from last year should be quite a treat. This is pretty exciting. I kind of think they should get rid of "blueberry juice" and just say blueberries though; just sounds more intriguing.

Goose mentioned on their IG post today that Jared Jankowski had an interview with the Trib and mentioned what happened with the scotch and maple variants from last year.. Does anyone have a link for that?

The picture in the article shows coffee but just doesn't give a description regarding the variant.

I'm excited for the BW only, personally being my favorite. Last years BCBS was OK in my opinion but not worth the price. The BCBCS was the biggest waste of money IMO.

I had 2016 bcbcs on four different occasions and only really enjoyed it once, on tap during CCBW. The last two years though have definitely been somewhat of a letdown as a whole. I expect a rebound this year.

Would love to read this as well. Was really looking forward to both of those last year.

Bummed about there not being a rye variant this year, but lineup looks pretty solid overall

Now if they'd only like, ya know, make enough for people to cop them easily.

Total Wine had REGULAR 1/pp in VA, the second biggest one inside the beltway said they got 10cs regular and no variants at all. I don't think I 'deserve' them anymore than anyone else in the country, but there is GI bullshit literally everywhere I look, and almost no BCBS. I'm more confused than frustrated, how they are allocating these items these days. in NoVA it used to be you could roll up to Whole Foods on BF and get cases of regular, 4 pks of BW, and maybe a bottle or two of coffee.

I'll poke around this year, but after the sour variants one year and then almost none being available the next, I've definitely moved on from investing much effort or support into this brand.

WOW. Glad our posts are adjoined for eternity. Literally couldn't be further from my experience in VA+DC. Interesting.

In Northern NJ, No Coffee variants have ever made it By me. 2016 was just the regular BSBS and barleywine. I am not holding my breath for any of these new variants except the main BCBS, barlywine and maybe one variant that is more produced than the others. I was lucky to get what I got in 2016. I will be shocked if all the variants made it where they are supposed to go.
Yes, this is a jaded response based on 2014 2015 and 2016 in the NY NJ area. This is all my opinion.

I believe that I read that much like Founders uses All day iPA to allocate KBS, AB is using Sofie to allocate BCBS now.

It looks like the "nationally" distributed variant this year will be the Northwoods one with blueberry and almond, but who knows what that means exactly

Prop and Reserve Stout are Chicago only, with Reserve Stout also going to Kentucky, per the Chicago Tribune article. Not sure about Reserve Barleywine. The article is unclear on that one.

Personally, I'm excited for the Northwoods and Coffee stouts. Although I would love to get my hands on the flaming banana one as well.
