Hey guys I'm wondering if anyone has been able to find any Gose beer at the lcbo? I recently popped my Gose cherry by ordering Gosebuster by Liberty Village at Louis Cifer Brewworks and I rather enjoyed the sour weizen; it reminded me of a few saisons I've had and enjoyed before. I looked online at the lcbo and saw only 1 gose beer, and it was discontinued. Considering it is more of a fringe style I was thinking maybe the lcbo might not have it listed properly in their search engine. Have any of you guys seen any Gose beers at the lcbo? btw for anyone who might be wondering how Louis Cifer is, it was alright but I was slightly disappointed. It's quite similar to a 3 Brewers Restaurant with all of the brewing machines displayed all around the restaurant and even just the overall feel of the place is like a more upscale version of 3 brewers. That being said, I'm happy that we have another east end Toronto bar that serves micros, but I'm disappointed that they don't brew their own beers there. They call themselves a Brewworks and have a lot of beer making machinery displayed all around the place, however, it's not operational at the moment. Their own beers are being made in St Thomas right now, which isn't too bad, but still I was looking forward to some freshly brewed beer made in house. Also their home brewed beers I tried weren't that great; the brown ale was a little watery and was lacking in flavour and the IPA was also quite watery and relied only on it's strong bittery hops for flavour (no hints of anything elso). The unfiltered lager was much nicer and more flavourful, but I'm not really a big lager fan and likely wouldn't get it again. The selection of local micros was quite ample and I love the fact that I now have another east end bar worth going to, however, it's nothing exceptional. If I lived anywhere in the west end, I'd probably never go back.
I'm pretty sure that the LCBO on Brock Road in Pickering still had some Trois Mousquetaires Hors Serie Gose when I was there less than a week ago. I'd assume that other stores around the GTA may have some as well. It is in the BA Canadian top 100 to boot! (though just barely).
The Brampton LCBO by the mall has the Trois Mousquetaires Hors Serie Gose. Other than that, I can't help you out.
thanks for the suggestions guys, gonna pick some up Trois Mousquetaires Hors Serie Gose as soon as I get the chance
