I may be way behind on this one, but does anyone know if there is any Stillwater Gose Gone Wild kicking around DC or Maryland right now?

Tapped it at Smoke and Barrel two days ago. Still kicking. Got one keg combined for Smoke and Barrel and Meridian Pint. It's going fast.

It's listed as one of the available bottles at Max's VSB event 7/19. I'm planning on snagging a bottle if it isn't too dearly priced.

Nightfly was displaying beer advocacy at its finest. Buy way more bottles than you need to keep them away from people who actually want the beer, and then only offer to trade them for things you want instead of just, ya know, offering to sell them for what you bought them for (or leaving them on the damn shelf).

Never heard of this event before. How outrageous are the prices going to be?

Why would you buy something if your only intention was to resell it at the same price?

And what's wrong with buying some extras that you could trade for something you aren't able to get?

RKP1967, don't argue with someone when they're being illogical. The snippet pasted below is from starrdog's own web site which is listed in his profile. The URL is http://beerdistrict.tumblr.com. Starrdogg appears to be trolling. The funniest part is the pretending to know how I obtained the two GGW up for trade.

A Brief Overview of Beer Trading
Beer trading might be the dorkiest-sounding part of a being a beer lover, but if you want to try some of the more interesting beers that aren’t distributed to your city of residence, it’s the most effective way to obtain them. Beer Advocate’s trade forum provides the most active beer trading community that I’ve found on the Interwebs, so that’s where I’d recommend starting if you’re going to get into this addictive hobby. Here are a few tips for how to get started and how to get the most bang for your buck out of trades:

    1) Buy a few extra of whatever highly regarded seasonals/limited releases are available in your area. Beers like Founders Kentucky Breakfast Stout,Troegs Nugget Nectar and Bell’s Hopslam are in very high demand in states where these breweries don’t distribute and can be picked up at your local liquor store fairly easily. These are great choices for getting started with trading.

I wish I knew the answer. Since this event seems to be a 'clean out the cupboards' sort of thing, I'm hoping prices will only be a little above what stores charge.

At several grog events in the past, I've gotten bottles from Max's that were only a couple of bucks above what State Line charged, at this years Rare and Obscure they charged me $30 for a bottle of Firestone Walker Parabola where it was 15 - 18 at stores. Guess buyer beware applies, check price beforehand.

In Baltimore, Smaltimore has it on tap, and it is a part of their $10/growler deal.

Damn good brew. From the way Strumke was talking about it I had no idea that this was a one-off. Never seen it on shelves at all.
